The BSC Rugby department was founded in 1934 by the president of the Berlin Rugby Union Dr. Christian Pfeil.

In the years 1955 and 1957 the BSC won its first Berlin Championships. In 1979 the club enjoyed an unbeaten season under the leadership of coach Taffy Burton who led the team to the clubs third victory of the top trophy in Berlin Rugby.

After a short turn experience in the second german division in the season 92/93 the club returned to the regional league where they celebrated their next success by winning the Berlin Championship once again in 1994.

In recent history the summer of 2001 showed to be very successful. The BSC Rugby Team went through an unbeaten season and became winner of the Regional League Cup.

In the following season 2001/2002 the team managed to also win the Regional Championship.
